Storage
At G Williams Removals & Storage, we have a furniture depository for customers
who wish to store some or all of their possessions for short and long terms.
We offer containerised, conventional
and archive storage facilities.
We have specialist container vehicles to bring the storage containers
to your property. Once the containers are filled with your furniture and
effects, they are taken to our depository to be stored. All our storage
customers are provided with a full inventory of their furniture and
effects stored, and a copy is held by G Williams Removals & Storage.
Customers may, if they wish, bring their own possessions to store and
collect them when required. Again, a full inventory will be made for both
G Williams Removals & Storage and the customer. A charge is made
for accepting your goods at the storage depot, and providing an inventory.
All storage must be fully insured, and there is further information about
this under our Insurance section.
There are certain items that will not be allowed into store and they are:
- Perishable goods such as plants and foodstuffs
- Inflammables such as gas bottles, petrol cans, paints and chemicals
White goods must be clean and empty of all water and freezers
must be fully defrosted.
When you are ready to have your possessions delivered to your home,
we ask for a minimum of two weeks' notice prior to release. The same
applies to customers who wish to collect their possessions themselves.
It is also possible to retrieve single items from store, again provided
we are given sufficient notice.
Our unit is protected with an alarm system and cctv monitored 24 hours a day.
Types of storage offered
Conventional
Goods are stored in cordoned off areas in storage facilities.
Furniture has been successfully stored by this method for centuries.
Containerised
Our storage containers are of timber construction, and are purpose built
for the removal industry. We use specialist vehicles to transport the
storage containers to your property. The container remains on the
vehicle while your belongings are loaded, and a full inventory is produced.
The containers are sealed, taken to our storage facility, forklifted off
and stored. At the end of the storage period, your goods are returned
to you in the original container, which has remained sealed throughout
the storage period.
Archive
If your business needs to free up valuable space from archived documents,
and improve efficiency, then let us store them for you at reasonable
rates in our secure warehouse.
We can supply archive boxes for your files and we have specialist archive
containers purpose built for the removal industry.
We also offer lockable bays in our secure unit.
